Manufacturing Operations Manager

As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in driving production planning and workload/capacity to meet customer demand, within set lead times for household and industrial packaging.

Working closely with the Production, Quality, Sales and technical teams, you will manage accurate forecasting as well as ensure production orders meet customer, sales and planning delivery deadlines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating production workflow for multiple products across various lines
  • Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
  • Determining and securing team resources, equipment and raw materials required to cover production demand
  • Maintaining accurate inventory of supplies, stock replenishment and continuously monitoring inventory levels
  • Monitoring jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
  • Developing production and preventative maintenance schedules, raw materials requirements, systems infrastructure, and stock levels in accordance with operational parameters
  • Managing production plans to ensure resources and processes are utilised in a way that optimises inventory, machinery, labour and facilitates the achievement of sales plans and production targets
  • Investigating and improving processes, productivity, quality, cost control and customer service where possible

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong and effective communication skills to work effectively with operations team
  • A proven background in continuous Improvement and change management experience
  • The ability to balance production, safety, and resources
