The Home and Community Care Specialist plays a vital role in delivering quality care to our clients, coordinating all allocated activities and ensuring high-quality consumer-directed care is delivered within statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Recruit, train, and quality control carers and related systems and processes.
- Manage inside sales enquiries, develop relationships with clients and their families.
- Coordinate client/participant-related activities, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Monitor operational performance, interpreting health policies and regulations.
- Deal with disabled, seniors, and vulnerable customers and their families daily, handling information requests, feedback, general enquiries, and complaints.
- Serve as a liaison between referral sources, families, carers, and administrative staff members.
- Ensure all client/participant contact is managed empathetically, friendly, interested, and patient.
- Use superior interpersonal communication skills for respectful engagement, active listening, and problem-solving.
- Interpret health policies and regulations for carers and nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with local and state regulatory agencies.
- Implement and maintain operating systems, including policies, procedures, and service conditions.
- Manage the recruitment, training, and retention of the Care Team.
- Manage client services enquiries, enter inside sales enquiries into the CRM system.
- Assist management with establishing and implementing an appropriate model of In-home Care.
- Represent the organisation at conferences, health fairs, and other community service functions.
- Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support or Community Care (or higher qualification in a relevant discipline).
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Aged Care, Management) – Desirable.
- Knowledge of the aged care industry/issues or Community In-Home Care.
- Previous experience in Aged Care or a related discipline – Desirable.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and harmonious working relationships.
- Update knowledge and skills by pursuing continuing professional development.
- Time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to develop/implement and evaluate organisational and client-focused documentation and systems.
- Appropriate qualifications and a demonstrated commitment to the Aged Care Sector and Home and Community Care environment.
- Australian Federal Police Clearance Certificate.
- Driver's License and comprehensively insured dependable private vehicle.
