Job Title: Direct Support Worker

CPL - Choice, Passion, Life is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Worker to join our team. As a Direct Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

About the Role:

This is a casual position, working in surrounding locations. As a Direct Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support with personal care, administering medications, transferring individuals using hoists and slide sheets, and assisting with domestic duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing support with personal care, including showering, toileting, dressing, and more
  • Administering medications as required
  • Transferring individuals using hoists and slide sheets, and assisting with mobility
  • Assisting with domestic duties, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Supporting individuals to participate in community activities, such as attending doctors' appointments, grocery shopping, and social or recreational activities
Requirements:
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • A Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities, formerly a Yellow Card)
  • Commitment to infection prevention and control measures, including the use of PPE as directed
  • A smartphone with an iOS 13.0 and up operating system or an Android 6.0 and up operating system
