The RoleWe are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our participants with complex care, personal care, and high physical needs. Your expertise will be invaluable in creating opportunities for personal growth and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personal support and empowering our participants to reach their goals and maintain independence.
- Assisting with daily living tasks, including personal care and mobility.
- Supporting participants with complex care needs, including managing behaviours of concern and mental health.
- Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Providing education and training to participants and their families on various aspects of care and support.
Requirements:
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience in managing participants with complex care needs, including behaviours of concern and mental health.
- Manual Handling experience.
- Clear speech and communication skills, with strong verbal and written English skills.
- Certificate III in Individual Support Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent.
