Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver market-leading claims management services that strengthen client relationships and enhance industry practice.
- Balancing technical claims expertise with a client-focused mindset, require proactive engagement with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee client portfolios across all lines of business, ensuring decisions align with treaty terms, policy guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Role Responsibilities:
- Strengthen Client Partnerships: Build deeper client relationships through tailored engagement plans, embedding consistent best-practice claims management.
- Proactively Manage Claims: Analyse client portfolios to ensure decisions align with treaty terms, policy guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Turn Insights into Impact: Use claims data and expertise to identify trends, support new business opportunities, and guide product development.
- Share Knowledge and Expertise: Deliver services such as training, audits, complex case consulting, and process improvements to strengthen client capabilities.
- Stay Ahead of Risk: Identify emerging risks and opportunities by analysing claims and market data.
- Apply Technical Excellence: Ensure all assessments and claim adjudications are rigorous, consistent, and compliant with regulatory frameworks and legislative requirements.
- Deliver Client-Focused Solutions: Develop and provide services aligned to client strategies and the company's claims vision, ensuring measurable impact.
About the Team:
The team is responsible for delivering market-leading claims management services that strengthen client relationships and enhance industry practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Significant technical expertise in life insurance claims, ideally across all retail and group insurance products in the Australian market.
- Minimum 5 years' insurance/reinsurance claims assessment experience, with peer or industry recognition advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian insurance landscape, products, and regulatory environment.
- Proven success in managing stakeholder relationships, influencing best-practice outcomes, and delivering client-facing services.
- Experience in dispute resolution processes and rehabilitation/return-to-work in disability claims.
