About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Portfolio Analyst to join our Technical Solutions team in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane office. As part of our new Operating Model, this role will play a key part in shaping the future of our company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Analytics & Portfolio Management functions, including the design and continuous improvement of our Data & Analytics framework, portfolio management, and financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain data systems, processes, and tools
  • Develop and implement portfolio management strategies and profit improvement plans
  • Support the TS Budgeting and Forecasting processes
  • Deliver analytics and management information system (MIS) framework
  • Portfolio management and performance dashboards
  • Natural peril exposure and accumulation management and modeling

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a Commercial Lines insurance function, preferably in Australia
  • Excellent knowledge of coding/programming languages such as VBA, SQL, SAS, R, Python
  • Strong skills in data visualization tools, e.g. PowerBI
  • Sound knowledge of property, casualty, and financial lines products
  • Confident and influential communicator with the ability to negotiate with peers and stakeholders at all levels
