This position is open to candidates based in Sydney and Brisbane, offering the flexibility to work from home two days a week.
Your Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, plan, and manage strategic initiatives within a defined portfolio through to the delivery of new capabilities and realisation of benefits identified in the Business Case
• Manage the scope, schedule, cost, risks, issues, and quality of the portfolio
• Develop and manage the appropriate resource plan, manage assigned resources
Leadership
• You are accountable for creating a culture of exceptional delivery performance, teamwork, and commitment to excellence that enables the achievement of team and organisational objectives
• You lead a shared understanding with other services and areas to enhance communication, strategic alignment, efficiency, and solution generation through the delivery process
Stakeholder Management
• You demonstrate the ability to influence cross-functional teams and build relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation
• Inform the Initiative Sponsor, Owner, and Manager of any Business Case contextual changes
• Engage impacted business stakeholders to meet outcomes - external and internal
Strategic Alignment
• Ensuring portfolio objectives are aligned with strategic themes and KPIs
• Maintain portfolio priorities in alignment with the broader enterprise portfolio.
About You:
• 10 years' experience as a Program or Portfolio Manager of cross-functional, complex projects
• Strong financial industry background is essential
• Relevant program management qualification/certification
• Proven people management/leadership experience in a matrix project organisation
• Experience in management of delivery partners
• Agile, MSP, or similarly certified practitioner will be viewed favourably.
