Allied Health Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Allied Health Therapist to join our team at SA Health. As an Allied Health Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to children and families in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and provide interventions for caregivers with moderate to high severity mental health concerns, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide specialist psychotherapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups, with a focus on parenting in the early years.
- Develop and deliver professional support and training for healthcare staff in areas such as parent-infant/child relationships, social-emotional health, and child development.
- Liaise closely with other healthcare teams and agencies to ensure comprehensive care for children and families.
- Develop and deliver resources and training to the wider community, as required.
- Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as psychology or social work.
- General registration with the relevant professional body, such as the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to provide assessment and intervention with infants, young children, and families, including culturally and linguistically diverse families.
- Experience in providing psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups.
- Specialist knowledge of infant and child development, psychological and social issues affecting young children's development, and attachment theory and practice.
- Knowledge and understanding of the complex factors impacting on parenting, including mental health, domestic and family violence, drug and alcohol misuse, homelessness, and poverty.
