Position Overview

In this role, you will oversee initiatives for the Student Equity team, specifically focusing on the Indigenous, Regional, and Low SES Attainment Fund (IRLSAF) programs. Your efforts will target various stages of student engagement, including pre-access, access, and participation, encompassing programs such as Aspire UWA, Fairway UWA, and the Student Equity Ambassador Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement program goals by assisting in the execution of workshops and information sessions within schools, as well as community events and on-campus activities aimed at promoting equity outreach.
  • Facilitate overnight camps for students, requiring travel to various regional locations.

Candidate Profile

  • Possession of relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in project or event support and administrative functions.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational capabilities, with the aptitude to prioritize tasks effectively and adhere to deadlines.
  • Familiarity with the Western Australian educational landscape, university admission pathways, and a commitment to promoting equity and diversity.

Additional Requirements

  • A valid C Class Drivers Licence is necessary for the successful candidate.
  • Willingness to participate in residential camps and travel to regional and remote areas.
  • Current Working with Children Check for Western Australia is required.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks, including the packing and unpacking of materials.
