Procurement Transformation Specialist

This role will contribute to the Procurement Transformation Program, working closely with stakeholders to identify and implement sustainable improvement solutions across the department's procurement ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert advice to stakeholders on matters relating to procurement operations of the department.
  2. Contribute specialist knowledge to project planning and ensure effective delivery and sustainable outcomes.
  3. Transfer knowledge and upskill employees in accordance with program scope and objectives.
  4. Establish and maintain highly effective relationships with stakeholders across different teams and branches.
  5. Lead research, analysis, and preparation of submissions, reports, and correspondence for senior management and executive stakeholders.
  6. Contribute to a high level of professional practice in the business by maintaining expert knowledge of contemporary procurement strategies and policies.
  7. Adhere to defined service quality standards and health and safety policies to ensure high-quality services and workplaces.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Demonstrated experience conceptualising, strategising, and leading procurement transformation and process improvement activities in complex environments.
  2. Operational experience at a senior level in the end-to-end procurement value chain, including thorough understanding of procurement commercial principles.
  3. Advanced communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to advise and influence executive stakeholders.
  4. Ability to manage competing priorities and take personal responsibility for meeting objectives.

Other Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in supply chain or a related field is desirable.
  • Experience in healthcare procurement will be well regarded.
  • Ability to travel to other facilities across the state.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong leadership abilities. They will be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
