About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Deckhand to join our team on our vessels operating out of Port Douglas. As a Deckhand, you will be responsible for the safe operation of small craft and semi-submersible coral viewers, delivering reef interpretive commentary, and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate small craft and semi-submersible coral viewers
  • Deliver reef interpretive commentary
  • Provide high-level customer service to guests
  • Ensure customer and staff safety at all times
  • Safely handle ropes, lines, and fenders
  • Assist other crew members as required

About You
  • Applicants require a minimum qualification of Coxswains NC1
  • Provide First Aid certification
  • Competency in rope handling and docking of vessels
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work well in a small team environment
  • A dive qualification would be an advantage
