Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Offshore Deckhand + Coxswains to join our team on our pontoon maintenance vessel out of Port Douglas. This is a rotating roster of 4 days on 2 days off, with three nights away living on our offshore vessel on The Great Barrier Reef.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the offshore maintenance vessel, pontoon, small craft, and offshore equipment
- Operate small craft and semi-submersible coral viewers
- Deliver reef interpretive commentary
- Provide exceptional customer service to our guests
- Ensure customer and staff safety at all times
- Safely handle ropes, lines, and fenders
- Assist other crew members as required
Requirements
- Coxswains NC1 qualification
- Master 5 (desirable)
- First Aid certification
- Competency in rope handling and docking of vessels
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a small team environment
- Dive qualification (advantageous)
