Health Safety and Environment Manager

This is a senior role responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of HSEQ systems, processes and culture across the organization.

  • Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the company's HSEQ Management System.
  • Conduct internal audits and prepare for external accreditations.
  • Drive compliance with HSEQ legislation, codes of practice, and company policies.
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), procedures, policies and toolbox talks.
  • Investigate incidents and hazards, manage corrective actions and ensure proper reporting.
  • Support training and onboarding of staff and subcontractors on all safety-related matters.
  • Monitor and lead digital safety platforms.
  • Promote and lead a positive safety culture across all levels of the business.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years' experience in a safety leadership or systems-based HSEQ role within construction. They will also possess strong knowledge of HSEQ legislation, codes and ISO/OHS management systems.

  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Cert IV or Diploma in HSEQ.
