Job Title

A Commercial Specialist position has become available within our organisation. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of assigned schemes and ensuring that they operate efficiently.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in category management, particularly in a complex service industry setting. If you have strong analytical skills and are able to develop accurate conclusions based on data, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a constant emphasis on the core vision of our organisation, making the complex simple so our schemes deliver better outcomes for those we serve.

You will also be expected to own the performance of the assigned categories by defining their roles within the organisation, developing value propositions and providing trusted expert advice through gathering and analysing data, attending industry forums and understanding supplier capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a constant emphasis on the core vision of our organisation
  • Own the performance of the assigned categories
  • Develop and implement strategic category plans and initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder and supplier relationships
  • Monitor, report and advise on performance and value for money
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in category management or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of category and stakeholder/supplier relationship management
  • Ability to analyse data and develop accurate conclusions
  • Willingness to understand the market and develop recommendations based on intelligence, insights and trends
