About the Role

Fitch Ratings is a leading provider of credit ratings, commentary, and research. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structured Finance Analyst to join our Australian Structured Finance (SF) and Covered Bonds (CVB) team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all structured finance transactions/CVB programmes are reviewed on a continuous 12-month schedule and all transactions/programmes have been reviewed at least once a year by the due date.
  • Perform data analysis in Excel, execute Fitch generated models, and prepare analytical documentation based on Fitch templates.
  • Present analytical documentation and communicate comments and opinions in committee effectively.
  • Prepare press releases based on Fitch templates and assist with rating new transactions.
  • Provide timely market/transaction performance commentary and manage queries from issuers/bankers/investors.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a finance related discipline.
  • A minimum of 18 months experience with a financial institution working in the mortgage or asset finance departments.
  • Intermediate Excel skills with knowledge of following functionality (vlookup(), sumif(), if(), index(), match()).
  • Strong time management skills and a high level of attention to detail.
