About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Return to Work Specialist to join our team at Gallagher Bassett. As a key member of our claims team, you will play a critical role in supporting injured workers, treating health practitioners, and employers to achieve optimal recovery and return to work outcomes.

As a Mobile Return to Work Specialist, you will work face-to-face with clients, providing expert guidance and support to help them navigate the return to work process. You will also collaborate with our claims team members, including case managers and early intervention specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to claims management.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing face-to-face and virtual intervention to support recovery and return to work services for injured workers and clients
  • Identifying biopsychosocial risk factors impacting injured workers' recovery and return to work, and applying person-centered claims management to mitigate these risks
  • Providing leadership and coaching to claims team members to influence positive and improved claims outcomes relating to recovery and return to work
  • Utilizing workers' compensation knowledge and skills in injury management, in conjunction with exceptional stakeholder management skills, to achieve optimal service and return to work outcomes
  • Communicating strategically with all stakeholders, including upfront expectation setting and education regarding return to work obligations
  • Facilitating stakeholder engagement, including relevant workplace parties and treating health practitioners
  • Providing exemplary client service
  • Participating in claims review meetings as required

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in return to work and injury management. Key requirements include:

  • Tertiary qualification or return to work certification in an appropriate discipline, and/or experience in a similar role in the work cover industry
  • Leadership skills and ability to coach, mentor, lead conversations, and influence outcomes relating to claims management and return to work
  • Thorough practical understanding and experience in effective management of return to work
  • Knowledge relating to common injuries, treatment options, and medical terminology
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to a wide range of clients and stakeholders
  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
