Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary starting at $34.46 per hour, plus penalties and loadings. In addition to this, they will also be eligible for 12% superannuation and salary packaging up to $18,550 per annum, allowing them to increase their take-home pay.

Job Description

As a Disability Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 24-hour care to participants, including morning, afternoon, weekend, and sleepover shifts;
  • Assisting with personal activities, such as hygiene support, medication assistance, and domestic assistance;
  • Following positive behaviour support plans to ensure the well-being of participants;
  • Supporting participants in engaging in community, social, and recreational activities;
  • Transporting participants to community-based outings using a company vehicle or your own vehicle;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completed Certificate III or higher qualification in a relevant industry field;
  • Paid experience supporting people with disabilities;
  • An Australian Driver's License;
  • Qld Motor Vehicle Registration;
  • First Aid Certification;
  • CPR certification;
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check;
  • A Working with Children Check (Blue Card);
  • A National Police Check obtained within the last six months or willingness to apply;
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion.
