Job Title: Senior Structures

About the Position

We are seeking a seasoned expert to oversee the management of railway structures assets, lead inspections and develop strategies for maintaining long-term health of critical infrastructure assets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead structural condition assessments and evaluations of existing assets
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a high-performing team of inspectors and junior engineers
  • Develop, implement and maintain asset management strategies, standards and procedures
  • Ensure timely and accurate data is captured and integrated into monitoring systems
  • Contribute to long-term asset management plans built on high-quality technical insight, underpinned by quality asset health and performance information
  • Champion innovation in inspection techniques, data collection and performance analytics
  • Provide technical support to projects and collaborate across departments and disciplines
  • Oversee third-party projects, external consultants and suppliers, including scope development, cost assessment and technical review for repair, upgrade or replacement of assets
  • Represent the company on relevant industry forums
  • Be accountable for team performance, delivery and alignment with business objectives
Key Qualifications:
  • Strong technical expertise in structural engineering and asset management
  • Experience working in operational railway environments and civil/drainage projects
  • Ability to lead a high-performing team and provide technical guidance
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in common software used in the role
