Job Title: Disability Support Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Associate to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support clients according to their NDIS plans, empowering them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Provide transportation assistance to clients, ensuring their safe and timely arrival at appointments and social events.
  • Offer respite care to clients and their families, providing much-needed breaks and relaxation.
  • Provide overnight/sleepover care, offering a safe and supportive environment for clients.
  • Administer medication, following Point Care policies and procedures, and maintain accurate records of clients' care plans and progress.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
  • A Certificate 3 in Individual Support or higher is preferred, demonstrating your expertise in disability support.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities is essential, showcasing your understanding of their unique needs and challenges.
  • An in-depth understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines is critical, enabling you to provide informed support and advocacy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital, allowing you to build strong relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
