Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Package Underwriter to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Performance
    • Drive profitable growth through achievement of Gross Written Premium (GWP) targets, focusing on production, profitability, and expenses, including retention, conversion rate, and loss ratio.
  • Underwriting Excellence
    • Underwrite referrals within delegated authority, adhering to guidelines for new business, renewals, and endorsements. Provide recommendations for acceptance or declination of risks exceeding authority.
    • Oversee underwriting results for assigned portfolio, ensuring compliance and maintaining awareness of claim activity.
    • Contribute to the development and improvement of the portfolio, including Post-Acceptance Reviews.
  • Customer Service
    • Deliver responsive service on underwriting referrals, taking ownership of quality responses and referral turnaround times.
    • Maintain awareness of claim activity and liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
  • Risk Management
    • Take all necessary measures to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risks to health and safety.
  • Culture and Conduct
    • Promote risk culture values, advocating for good customer outcomes in all business activities. Continuously improve Chubb's products and services by assessing product needs, implementing IT solutions, and enhancing business efficiencies.
    • Awareness of and manage conduct risk effectively within your area.
    • Take ownership of risks and controls as a first-line risk owner.
    • Effectively manage third-party arrangements, ensuring oversight and monitoring, and addressing issues promptly when identified.
