Heavy Lifting Role

This is an opportunity to work on heavy lifting operations with our maintenance crew at FMG Christmas Creek. You will be working on a 2x1 FIFO roster from Perth Airport, operating cranes in line with work standards and instructions.

The role involves mobilization and demobilization of the assigned crane in the relevant configuration, positioning and repositioning loads, performing periodic preventative and routine maintenance, and ensuring all work is carried out safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mobilize and demobilize cranes in accordance with work standards
  • Operate cranes safely and effectively
  • Position and reposition loads as required
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Evaluate and improve safety procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • You must have a minimum two years' experience rigging in heavy lifting operations
  • A valid High Risk Work License - RI is essential
  • Working at Heights certification within the last two years is also required
  • A valid Driver's License is necessary for travel to site
  • Forklift experience is desirable
  • Previous experience in Shutdowns and Maintenance based work is highly valued
