This is a leadership position that oversees the payroll function across an organization.
About the Role:This role involves leading process improvements, managing payroll projects, and playing a key part in enterprise agreement negotiations. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of six members and managing weekly payroll for 4,000–5,000 employees and monthly payroll for Head Office staff.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage end-to-end payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure timely and accurate submissions to relevant authorities.
- Oversee superannuation, leave, termination payments, workers' compensation, and employment-related tax obligations.
- Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are up-to-date.
- Expertise in payroll management software such as Dayforce and Chris21.
- A strong understanding of statutory reporting requirements.
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
