About This Role

We're seeking an experienced AI Safety Engineer to join our pioneering team at the forefront of AI innovation.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking AI projects while ensuring safe and responsible deployment of advanced technologies.

The Key Aspects:

  • Establishing a dedicated AI safety function to ensure systems align with human values, comply with safety standards, and operate securely in complex environments.
  • Developing frameworks, tools, and processes to mitigate risks associated with AI systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing safety protocols, monitoring tools, and risk-mitigation strategies to guarantee reliable outputs.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in AI systems and developing effective mitigation plans.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and integrate guardrails and validation mechanisms to ensure accurate results.
  • SUPPORTING robustness testing, bias detection, and performance monitoring to enhance overall system quality.
  • Contributing to the development of frameworks that improve accuracy and reduce system drift.
  • Analyzing safety incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Staying up-to-date on emerging AI safety standards, regulations, and research to inform our approach.
  • Providing training and guidance on AI safety principles to internal stakeholders and contributing to governance frameworks.

About You:

  • Combining strong technical expertise with a passion for safe and responsible AI adoption.
  • Bringing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Holding 3-5 years' commercial experience in machine learning, deep learning, and AI development.
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of AI safety principles, including risk assessment and hazard identification.
