About the Role

The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the business operations of Metro Trains Melbourne. This position will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reports provided to stakeholders, including shareholders and government bodies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting, shareholder reporting, and Board reporting
  • Assisting in the preparation of consolidated budgets and forecasts as required
  • Preparing accurate monthly profit share and statistical reporting in a timely manner as requested by government bodies and approved institutions
  • Assisting with the investigation of financial information, audit processes, and ad hoc reporting and analytics as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant with extensive relevant experience in a FP&A or Management Reporting role for a large, complex organization. You will possess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, experience in the preparation and collation of financial information, and strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills, combined with high attention to detail.
