Join a dynamic team at our cutting-edge data centre facility as we seek an experienced Service Technician to maintain and repair critical services and systems.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with a trade or tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Fire, Telecommunications, or Mechatronics to support our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and responding to alerts and alarms related to electrical, mechanical, and fire systems. They will also perform inspections to identify potential risks to infrastructure and buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond quickly to service requests and emergency faults
  • Undertake initial fault finding on equipment, determine the cause, and implement remediation
  • Provide estimated timelines for repairs to key internal teams
  • Critical switching in the event of a failure to ensure no disruption to critical services
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A trade or tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Fire, Telecommunications, or Mechatronics
  • 4+ years of experience in critical facilities environments
  • Prior experience operating Building Management Systems (BMS) or Energy Management Systems (EMS)
  • Exposure to data centre equipment such as CRAC units, UPS, Generators, Fire, etc.
Desirable:

We are seeking candidates who possess:

  • HV Electrical Switching Certification
  • Work Health Safety Certification
  • Prior experience with a commercial Data Centre provider in a similar role
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work on a rotational 12-hour shift roster, with two days of work followed by two nights off, and four days off per week.
