
Delivering Quality Care: A Child Care Support Specialist Role

We are seeking skilled and compassionate individuals to provide high-quality care to children with complex medical needs in their home environment or other suitable settings.
As a Child Care Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing essential care services that allow parents of children who require frequent medical interventions the time to rest and attend to other responsibilities.
The provision of this support enables parents to take breaks while knowing their child is receiving quality care. Whether you have previous experience as a support worker or are ready for a new challenge, we will support your professional development through our comprehensive training program.
Support is delivered independently, with care often provided in the absence of parents in line with the child's specific care plan.
Key Responsibilities- Completion of our comprehensive healthcare support training program
- Knowledge and expertise on providing medical care interventions for children with complex healthcare needs within the scope of the support worker training
- Play a crucial role in improving the quality of life and promoting independence for the children and families you support
- Regular support shifts with the ability to increase hours when shifts become available
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated workers to provide care to children with complex medical needs in their home and/or the community with:
- A genuine passion for providing quality care and making a positive impact on the lives of children and families
- Enthusiasm to learn new skills and technology within the scope of this role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and colleagues
- An ability to travel independently to and from workplace locations
- Efficient computer skills to connect with team members and document care provided
