Protecting Futures Case Manager

This role involves managing and processing cases and payments for members of our fund, including handling Total Permanent Disability (TPD) and Income Protection (IP) insurance claims, Death (D) and Terminal Illness (TI) claims with or without insurance cover, Family Law claims and early release payments (financial hardship, compassionate grounds).
As a Disability Claims Specialist, your primary focus is to manage the end-to-end process of Disability Claims, ensuring you provide helpful service to claimants and assisting them with their queries along the way.
You will work closely with various stakeholders, including members, beneficiaries, solicitors, and other teams within our organisation.
We are looking for an experienced claims specialist who can navigate complex insurance claims with empathy and expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the end-to-end process of Disability Claims
- Preparing recommendations for approval
- Reviewing and challenging insurer decisions and case reviewing declined claims
- Providing excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain proactive, solution-focused communication with members, beneficiaries, and solicitors
