About the Role

Rise Training is an initiative that empowers individuals with disabilities to develop employment capabilities in a work environment. As a Trainer – Employment Mentor, you will support participants with disabilities to prepare for award wage employment and transition into open employment.

We are seeking experienced professionals who can bring their skills from working in the disability sector, allied health or education/training sector to this role. This position would also be suitable for individuals with lived experience and a good understanding of disability support.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will facilitate the training of participants in transferable employment skills and develop individualised resources to support them in achieving their goals.
  • You will provide personal care, mealtime assistance, and behavioural management to ensure everyone feels fully supported and progressing towards their employment goals.
  • You will engage with participants using a Positive Behaviour Support approach where appropriate.
