- Providing high-level legal services to clients, senior management, and staff, ensuring compliance with legislation, policy, and practice standards.
- Interpreting and analysing legislation, preparing legal documents, including correspondence, contracts, and reports.
- Managing sensitive matters within established standards, procedures, and delegations.
- Developing and implementing legal strategies and practices, systems, procedures, and processes for the Department.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to consult on proposed policies, legislation, and related issues.
- Conducting litigation before Courts and/or Tribunals as the Department's representative.
- Investigating claims against DCJ to inform the provision of advice.
