We are seeking a forward-thinking Director of Engineering to lead our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a proven leader who thrives on delivering high-quality software at scale and driving operational excellence.

As the Director of Engineering, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our technical strategy, establishing engineering best practices, building a successful team, and aligning development with short- and long-term business goals.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and mentor R&D teams to deliver roadmap milestones on time and to budget at the required quality level for product releases.
  2. Drive technical excellence, ensuring architectural integrity, scalability, and high software quality.
  3. Continuously develop and enhance industry knowledge to provide insights and thought leadership around software concepts and configuration.
  4. Utilise input from customers, market research, technological advancements and trends to understand customer needs and provide meaningful input to the Product Roadmap.
  5. Define and execute strategic plans that align with company goals, balancing immediate deliverables with long-term innovation.
  6. Champion a customer-centric mindset, ensuring our products deliver real value and an exceptional user experience.
  7. Establish and continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and metrics to enhance productivity and delivery efficiency.
  8. Work closely with the Product Success Director, POs and Product Success team to ensure software delivered aligns to the business case and facilitates required Development Methodology activities.
  9. Optimise management of resources and reduce duplication in line with deliverable priorities, time frames, cost, people and skills needed.
  10. Develop talent plans to grow and scale the team, including hiring, succession planning, and ongoing capability development.

This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with stakeholders across all levels.
