Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced teacher to fill the role of Leading Teacher Range 3. This position involves leading and managing the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives, curriculum planning and delivery, and professional development for teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives related to the school strategic plan and school priorities.
  • Develop and implement whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Provide professional development and develop individual and team development plans for teaching staff within the priorities of the school.
  • Lead and manage staff performance and development, including the review of staff.
  • Develop and manage the school's assessment and reporting policies and practices.
  • Lead the implementation of the school operations and policies related to student welfare and discipline.
  • Develop and implement curriculum in a major learning area and participate in curriculum development in other areas.
  • Take responsibility for general discipline matters beyond the management of classroom teachers.
  • Contribute to the overall leadership and management of the school.
  • Develop and manage proposals for school council consideration.
  • Develop and manage the school code of conduct.
  • Act as a key contact for inclusion and wellbeing within the school.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a highly skilled and experienced teacher with a strong track record of leadership and management. You will need to have a deep understanding of curriculum planning and delivery, as well as the ability to develop and implement whole-school improvement initiatives.

You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.

Applicants must be currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.
