Job Title: Commercial Solar and Energy Solutions Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Commercial Solar and Energy Solutions Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities in the commercial and industrial energy sector.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling solar and energy solutions to C&I businesses and possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will work closely with engineering, finance, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are technically and commercially viable. Additionally, you will maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline and regularly report on sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Business Development:
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities across the commercial and industrial energy sector
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through to signed contract
  • Solution Development:
  • Develop and present tailored solar and BESS solutions that align with client sustainability and financial goals
  • Prepare and coordinate compelling proposals, bids, and tenders for solar and energy storage projects
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including sustainability leads, CFOs, and operational teams
  • Project Coordination:
  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, and delivery teams to ensure smooth transition of signed projects to the delivery team
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience:
  • Demonstrated success in business development or sales in the renewable energy, commercial solar, or battery storage sectors
  • Experience selling to commercial and industrial clients with a strong understanding of their operational and sustainability drivers
  • Skills:
  • Skilled in managing complex sales processes including tenders, financial modelling, proposal writing, and contract negotiation
  • Ability to communicate complex technical solutions in a clear and commercially compelling way
  • Education:
  • Background in working within or alongside engineering, delivery, or asset management teams
