Electrical Connections Specialist

We deliver electricity to millions daily through our network of poles and wires.

Our electrical connections specialists play a key part in delivering customer service objectives by providing safe, reliable, timely, and cost-effective supply of electricity and associated services.

  • Install and maintain electrical equipment
  • Install and maintain de-energised LV / HV underground polymeric cables
  • Perform straight through HV paper insulated to polymeric transition joint
  • Operate plant, tools and equipment in relation to construction, commissioning, operating and maintenance of underground distribution systems
  • Maintain a professional image at all times

The ability to assess work files, respond to emergency activities and use current data transfer systems is essential.

Certificate III ESI Distribution Cable Jointing is mandatory.

Heavy Vehicle Licence and Switching training/authority are optional.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of electrical connections
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness in electrical connections
  3. Identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards in electrical connections

Requirements:

  • Valid Certificate III ESI Distribution Cable Jointing
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
