Physical Design Application Engineer, IC Digital Implementation Flows-Sr Level Position

About the Role
Cadence US is seeking a highly skilled Physical Design Application Engineer to join our IC Digital Implementation Flows team. As a senior-level position, you will be responsible for driving best-in-class Power Performance Area (PPA) for our key customers using Cadence Implementation Tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our Application Engineering Team to achieve exceptional PPA results for our customers.
- Develop and implement seamless integration of different customer flows to drive Physical Implementation flows.
- Provide expert guidance to customers on utilizing Cadence technologies to meet their design goals and project schedules.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our tools and methodologies.
- Drive technical evaluations and benchmarks to ensure success.
- Work closely with R&D to enhance our tools and methodologies to meet and exceed customer requirements.
- Drive adoption and proliferation of Cadence tools and technologies.
- Amend and augment flows as needed using Tcl and/or other programming skills to meet objectives and improve results.
- Capture best practices and lessons learned from current evaluations and benchmarks to improve efficiency and success rate in future engagements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a Physical Design Engineer.
- Proven expertise in debugging issues around Physical Design and achieving best-in-class PPA with out-of-the-box thinking.
- Experience with pushing PPA for CPU or GPU-style designs.
- Experience running P&R tools like Innovus/ICC2.
- Experience running synthesis tools like Genus/DC.
- Experience in block-level and full-chip floor-planning and power grid planning, block and top-level clock planning, and power reduction techniques.
- Experience with Tcl programming.
