Maritime Structural Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Principal Maritime Structural Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical delivery of new and interesting projects, leveraging their maritime structural experience and expertise in reinforced concrete and steel design in the marine environment.

The role involves working on large-scale multi-discipline maritime facilities for various industries, including defence, local government, state government, ports, and sustainability. You will apply your knowledge of Australian and international design codes and guidelines, drive innovation within the team, and provide supervision, guidance, and mentoring to less experienced colleagues.

About the Role:

  • Leverage maritime structural experience to deliver concept designs through to construction phase support
  • Lead technical delivery of new and interesting projects
  • Apply knowledge of Australian and international design codes and guidelines

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in structural design, including reinforced concrete and steel in the marine environment
  • Experience in the design, evaluation, and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures
  • Experience in using structural analysis software (SPACE GASS, Strand 7, IDEAStatica)
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain chartership within agreed timeframe)
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
