Job Title: DevOps Manager

About The Position

This is a strategic and hands-on leader role that oversees a high-performing team of engineers, sets the vision for automation, reliability, and scalability, and ensures continuous improvement in software delivery and infrastructure operations. As a DevOps Manager, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic direction and leadership to the DevOps team, aligning efforts with broader business and technology objectives.
  2. Define and drive the adoption of DevOps practices, tools, and culture across engineering and operations teams.
  3. Act as the principal advisor to senior leadership on DevOps strategy, capability development, and risk mitigation.
  4. Define team goals, manage performance, and oversee hiring, onboarding, and professional development.
  5. Oversee the design, implementation, and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
  6. Drive continuous integration, delivery, and deployment strategies that enhance speed and reliability.
  7. Implement and monitor robust SRE practices to ensure system performance, reliability, and scalability.
  8. Partner closely with Software Development, Security, Infrastructure, and Product teams to align DevOps capabilities with business needs.
  9. Lead technical reviews and provide expert guidance on Cloud architecture, tooling, and deployment strategies.
  10. Champion security-first principles, embedding DevSecOps practices in all DevOps processes.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
  • 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role with proven team-building success.
  • Expertise in leading DevOps at scale within cloud-native environments.
  • Proven track record implementing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
  • In-depth experience with containerization and orchestration of best practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Sound knowledge of monitoring, observability, and incident management frameworks.
