Senior Visual Effects Supervisor

About the Role

The Senior Visual Effects Supervisor is a critical member of our team, responsible for overseeing the creative and technical aspects of visual effects in film production. This role requires a unique blend of artistic vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and guide junior producers and visual effects artists to ensure high-quality work and consistent delivery
  • Work closely with the global New Business team to identify new opportunities and support project development
  • Oversee the creation of detailed briefs and project overviews for assigned producers and visual effects teams
  • Collaborate with the Head of Production to assign new shows to the most suitable producer and visual effects team
  • Hand off completed projects to assigned producers and provide detailed documentation and overview
  • Monitor the creative and financial progress of ongoing projects and report findings to the Head of Production
  • Attend weekly meetings with experienced producers to discuss production status and offer advice when needed
  • Maintain studio-client relationships and serve as a point of escalation for any issues that may arise on assigned projects
  • Work closely with Production Accounts to track project finances and provide detailed reporting to stakeholders
  • Jump into assigned projects as Producer or Visual Effects Supervisor as needed to cover for absence or other coverage requirements
Requirements
  • Extensive experience as a Visual Effects Supervisor in high-end feature film production
  • Proven project management experience, including scheduling, budgeting, and personnel management
  • Ability to oversee multiple visual effects projects simultaneously
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing large teams under pressure and delivering projects on time
  • Expertise in building effective working relationships with internal teams, cross-site teams, and clients
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Diploma level education or equivalent in a relevant field
