Senior Visual Effects Artist

About the Role:

A Senior Compositor will be responsible for combining live action and computer-generated elements into seamless visual effects shots that realise the vision and creative direction of clients and Visual Effects Supervisors.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Compositing Supervisor and VFX Supervisor to evaluate approaches for assigned shots, create high-quality complete shots that maintain uniformity in all finished work, and collaborate on aesthetic solutions with team members.

This is a key role within our team, requiring a strong fine arts foundation, including photography and photographic lighting. The successful candidate will have experience and examples of work in compositing, preferably in the feature film industry, as well as fluency in Nuke and experience with Python and/or C++.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate approaches for assigned shots with the Compositing Supervisor and VFX Supervisor
  • Create high-quality complete shots that maintain uniformity in all finished work
  • Collaborate with team members on aesthetic solutions
  • Work closely with the Compositing Supervisor and VFX Supervisor to deliver high-quality visual effects shots

Requirements:

  • Strong fine arts foundation, including photography and photographic lighting
  • Sense of composition, colour and design
  • Experience and examples of work in compositing, preferably in the feature film industry
  • Fluency in Nuke and experience with Python and/or C++
