Job Summary


As the primary strategic business leader of The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations. This includes guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation, and ensuring a return on investment to Marriott International and property ownership.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement business strategies to maximize property customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share
  • Manage sales and marketing efforts to drive revenue growth
  • Lead the hotel leadership team in executing business plans and achieving goals
  • Monitor and analyze business performance data to inform decision-making
  • Maintain open communication with employees, guests, and owners to ensure a positive and respectful work environment

Requirements



  • 10+ years of progressive experience in the hotel industry, preferably with prior GM experience in similar-sized hotels
  • Excellent food and beverage, event management, rooms operations, revenue management, human resources, and quality assurance skills
  • Ability to operate in a matrix organization and leverage centralized resources
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in strategic planning, budgeting, negotiating, and interpreting contracts
  • Proven track record of creating positive and influential owner relationships

  • Ability to creatively execute against strategy and drive results, with experience in creating unique guest experiences and maximizing revenue within the brand framework
  • Strong organization and financial management skills, with experience in analyzing P&L statements, developing operating budgets, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning
  • Ability to evaluate business trends, determine applicability, and modify business strategies accordingly
  • Strong communication, influence, and leadership skills, with experience in managing customer preference, loyalty, and engagement
