Ecological Consultant

We are currently seeking an experienced ecological consultant to lead our Ecology Team in Queensland, Australia. The successful candidate will contribute to a diverse portfolio of natural resource management and infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients.

This role requires a high level of expertise in ecology, with a strong understanding of terrestrial ecosystems, flora and fauna, biodiversity, and habitat. You will be responsible for providing expert ecological advice on a wide range of infrastructure and natural resource management projects.

• Conduct desktop and field-based ecological surveys and impact assessments, focusing on ecosystems, plant and animal species, and habitats.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports, environmental analyses, and mapping outputs.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated environmental work packages.

• A degree in Ecology, Botany, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Strong identification skills in Queensland flora and fauna.
• At least 2 years of post-graduate experience in consulting or regulatory environments.
• Familiarity with regional ecosystem frameworks.
• Proficiency in MS Office and GIS mapping tools.
• A solid understanding of environmental legislation and approvals processes at all levels of government.
