About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Boarding Supervisor to join our team at Catholic Education Cairns. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head of Boarding in the daily operations of the boarding house, ensuring the well-being and safety of our students.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to our young people, helping them to develop essential life skills and achieve their goals.
  • Supervise students during daily routines, including meal times, homework sessions, and recreational activities.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of educational and recreational programs, promoting the social, emotional, and academic development of our students.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive and supportive living environment.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in residential care, youth work, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality care and support.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, with a willingness to obtain additional qualifications as required.
