We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Boarding Supervisor to join our team at Catholic Education Cairns. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our young people.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Head of Boarding in the daily operations of the boarding house, ensuring the well-being and safety of our students.
- Provide pastoral care and support to our young people, helping them to develop essential life skills and achieve their goals.
- Supervise students during daily activities, including meals, homework, and leisure time, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the boarding house, including maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our students.
- Relevant experience in residential care, youth work, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of our students.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, with a willingness to obtain additional qualifications as required.
- LR bus license and a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
