Quinquennial Visiting Medical Officer

About the Job

The position of Quinquennial Visiting Medical Officer is a busy and dynamic role that requires high-level clinical knowledge in Rheumatology. As a senior medical practitioner, you will be responsible for providing specialist care to patients in a tertiary referral unit. The department services the Western Sydney Local Health District at Westmead, Blacktown, Mt Druitt, and Auburn Hospitals.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced doctors to demonstrate their skills and expertise while contributing to the development of the department. We are looking for individuals who possess sound clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to teaching and supervision.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent
  • Sound clinical knowledge in Rheumatology
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience and involvement in quality assurance activities and evidence-based best practice
  • Commitment to teaching and supervision
