We are seeking a highly skilled Climate Action Policy Specialist to join our team at the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action in Melbourne, VIC. As a key member of our Climate Action Strategy branch, you will play a critical role in helping Victoria reach net zero emissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing data and modeling on Victoria's emissions and emissions reduction opportunities
  • Providing policy advice to support the development of high-quality policy recommendations
  • Collaborating with the team to develop long-term emissions reduction planning and climate action strategies

Requirements:

  • Experience in policy analysis and advice is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of climate change, including greenhouse gas emissions analysis, is highly desirable
  • An understanding of Victorian Government policy processes is highly desirable
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field, such as physical or social sciences, engineering, natural resource management, data science, mathematics, statistics, business analysis, or humanities
