Senior Climate Specialist

Job Summary

Telstra is committed to creating a connected future where everyone can thrive. As a Senior Climate Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing decarbonisation and carbon offsetting activities to deliver against our climate change goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop plans to decarbonise Telstra's operations across scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
  • Oversee and direct Telstra's carbon offsetting program, governance, and certifications
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders related to decarbonisation and carbon offsetting
  • Prepare Telstra for emerging risks and opportunities related to climate change
  • Support disclosures related to our climate change program, including transition plans
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in environmental science or a related field
  • Proven experience in program implementation and delivery
  • Knowledge of carbon offsetting topics, including carbon credit markets and public policy considerations
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Commercial acumen and ability to drive carbon neutral market modelling
