Analytics Expert Role

We are seeking a seasoned analytics professional to lead complex projects and guide a talented team.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in data science, advanced tertiary study, and strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or R.

This role involves working closely with stakeholders to deliver insights that drive business impact, championing predictive and prescriptive analytics, and shaping the enterprise data platform.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to present complex data to executive audiences and partner with business units to identify opportunities and deliver data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead delivery of advanced analytics projects, including segmentation, forecasting, optimisation, and AI-powered recommendations.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, helping unlock value through data science and insights.
  • Champion predictive and prescriptive analytics across the organisation, introducing innovative approaches and technologies.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing data insights team, fostering growth beyond operational reporting into advanced analytics.
  • Partner with business units to identify opportunities and deliver data-driven solutions tailored to real-world challenges.

Requirements
  • Advanced tertiary study in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Seasoned professional with deep experience in data science and analytical roles, with demonstrated success in influencing business outcomes.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools and leading teams.
  • Solid understanding and experience of experimental design, statistical inference, predictive modelling, and machine learning.
