Handyperson Job Description

We are a contemporary comfort hotel located in the heart of Melbourne.

Our hotel features 380 guest rooms and suites, a bar and restaurant, swimming pool, gym, and 8 flexible conference venues with state-of-the-art technology.

  • Complete daily rounds to identify any equipment that may be faulty.
  • Carry out maintenance on mechanical equipment across the hotel site.
  • Participate in preventative hotel maintenance programs.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on hotel rooms and equipment as required daily.
  • Perform general building painting and repairs.
  • Liaise with contractors and reception to ensure tasks are completed and areas are restored to service quickly.
  • Maintain workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

To be successful, you will need:

  • To be responsible, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • To have the ability to think on your feet.
  • A trade qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • To be confident in communicating with various parties.
