Appliance Service Technician

As a skilled appliance technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing domestic appliances to provide exceptional customer experiences. Delivering high-quality service, ensuring all equipment is tested and calibrated in accordance with industry standards are essential responsibilities.

Key to this role is working closely with the Service Allocations Team and Field Service Manager to manage spare parts and van stock to enable first-visit resolution. Providing daily interaction with consumers, retailers, and commercial customers is also crucial.

Responsibilities
  • Service and repair domestic appliances to ensure optimal functionality
  • Daily interaction with consumers, retailers, and commercial customers to build strong relationships
  • Collaborate with the Service Allocations Team and Field Service Manager to optimize job administration
  • Manage spare parts and van stock to enable efficient job completion
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of service jobs via company-issued technology
  • Adhere to all work, health, and safety requirements at all times
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant license and certification to comply with state legislation
  • Business registration (ABN)
  • Current public liability insurance ($10 million)
  • Workers Compensation Insurance (if applicable)
  • Availability and flexibility to cover a metropolitan service area
  • Laundry, kitchen, or white goods experience advantageous
  • Sound technical knowledge of appliances to diagnose and problem-solve
  • Skilled in proper use of tools, equipment, and gauges to ensure optimal use
  • Excellent customer service and effective communication skills
  • A genuine enjoyment of building rapport with consumers and delivering a positive experience
