Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Expert to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our cryptocurrency platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our regulatory compliance program, including monitoring and reporting on AFSL obligations, advising the business on day-to-day compliance matters, and assisting in the review and submission of reconciliations and regulatory reports.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in financial services compliance, with a strong understanding of AFSL obligations, derivatives compliance, and associated reporting. They will also possess excellent leadership and management skills, including experience in managing a team, as well as the ability to read, analyze, and interpret applicable legislation in the field of financial services/technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage internal compliance operational controls and carry out assessments as required
  • Liaise with compliance officers globally on business activities conducted across different countries
  • Provide advice on new products and new business structures
  • Monitor services provider SLAs and provide feedback where needed
  • Handle regulatory inquiries and disputes
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in financial services compliance
  • Bachelor's degree and RG146 compliance certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of AFSL obligations, derivatives compliance, and associated reporting
  • Leadership and management skills, including experience in managing a team
  • Familiarity with ASIC and AUSTRAC requirements a must
