Job Description

We are seeking a skilled logistics professional to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will play a vital role in coordinating day-to-day fuel deliveries from terminals to customers and company sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling daily fuel deliveries from terminals to customers and company sites, utilizing the available fleet based at Melbourne Depot.
  • Ensuring efficient operation of our fleet by minimizing operating costs through effective load maximization, route planning, and driver scheduling.
  • Entering scheduled deliveries and delivery details into the database in accordance with NHVR requirements.
  • Liaising and communicating with drivers, customers, and transport sub-contractors on a daily basis.
  • Supporting depot operations, including trip processing and dispatch activities.
  • Monitoring fuel tank levels across sites throughout service areas.
  • Meeting and exceeding customer service level requirements.
  • Scheduling trucks for servicing and maintenance.
  • Managing driver rosters and timesheets.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous scheduling experience is considered an advantage but not essential as full on-the-job training will be provided.
  • A good understanding of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) and national heavy vehicles regulatory requirements.
  • BFM Certificate preferred.
  • Ability to handle changing situations under pressure and make optimal logistic decisions.
  • Critical thinking with a focus on problem-solving and solution-based outcomes.
  • Capable of working unsupervised and managing time effectively.
  • Strong transport and logistics background.
  • Operational experience is an advantage.
  • Good computer skills, including Excel.
  • Ability to navigate and use spreadsheets.
